Why money won’t buy you freedom of speech anymore…

Freedom of speech is being challenged, and for the first time it doesn’t matter how much money you have.

Everyone knows how dangerous censorship is, it’s one of the most powerful tools a corrupt government has.

But what most people don’t understand is that censorship is about much more than removing books from shelves and hiding information on the internet.

The ultimate goal of a totalitarian government is to have a system in place so powerful that people will “self-censor”.

And you might wonder what I mean by “self-censor” …

Well, imagine if your bank account was drained to $0 because you wrote an article against the government.

Or you arrive at work, only to find out you lost your job due to a recent political post you shared.

Or worst of all, your kids get taken away, because you don’t agree with their political beliefs.

With a system like this in place, you’ll be too afraid to act out because of the punishments that will follow…

Part 1: Examples of Modern-Day Censorship…

Recently, the Irish Green Party announced it will be tightening its grip on their Freedom of Speech laws. In fact, they literally said “We are restricting freedom, but we are doing it for the common good.”

The legislation also said that it would criminalize “incitement to violence or hatred against” people with “protected characteristics” a well as “condoning, denying, or grossly trivializing genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crimes against peace.”

The first section about not inciting violence or hatred seems reasonable, but what about the other section?

This section is more concerning, by questioning history, or current affairs, you are not directly harming or hurting anyone. Freedom of speech should be limited to protect people physically, but not emotionally or mentally.

That’s because the truth is not always pretty, and we have to be ready to face the truth no matter how hard it is. And truth is discovered by constantly questioning reality and listening to contrary voices. And without contrary voices, we have to trust the government to “select” what is true for us.

But censorship isn’t just affecting social media, or normal media. It’s all around us, and even things like science are becoming corrupt.

One example of this is the denial of two genders. Many scientists and schools deny that there are two biological genders.

For example, Bill Nye released a special in 2017 talking about how gender is not biological. He even sarcastically said in the episode “Who better to talk about sex, then two cis-male white guys?”. (Discrediting the opinion of white men)

There’s nothing that backs this information up biologically, and if you challenge it, you’ll be labeled as transphobic. Some people even lose their jobs for not including their “preferred pronouns” in their workplace biography.

The danger is that this false information cannot be contested. People are afraid of even disagreeing with something as simple as this because it is so socially charged. But the real danger is how it affects children.

Public schools “educate” young children on the spectrum of gender, as well as many popular kids’ TV shows and movies. You do not have to be a psychologist to understand how impressionable children are.

If you deny the transgender agenda, you can lose your job, your reputation, and worst of all YOUR KIDS.

Canada passed a bill, titled Bill 89, that allows the government to take away your children if you do not agree with their perceived “gender”.

Trans rights lawyer Adrienne Smith said “misgendering a person, using the incorrect name for them and trying to persuade them not to undertake a gender-affirming care are forms of family violence, and that’s really important.”

So, if parents “misgender” and reject their kid for being transgender, that could count as emotional abuse.

The trans rights lawyer also said “Young trans people can take comfort that the way that they are often misgendered and deadnamed is a human rights violation and could rise to the level of being family violence.”

Kasari Govender, a lawyer in Canada, also said, “it’s not your values that matters here, it’s your child’s values around their own body and (their) decisions and how they show up in the world,”

I’ve seen this argument before, and it’s very illogical and flawed. Children cannot make their own decisions, and you as a parent have the responsibility to make decisions about your children. There are many different examples: the bedtime you set for your child, the diet you feed your child, the activities, and media you let your child consume all affect your child’s health and how they show up in the world.

And it is your role to decide what is best for your child. Not your child, and DEFINITELY not your Government.

For example, most countries do not allow children to get tattoos until they are 18 years old. That’s because it’s a lifelong commitment, and they are too young to understand the implications.

So, why should they be able to make a decision (on a sex change) that has many physical and mental health implications that are irreversible?

Common sense – children do not have the age, life experience, or developed brain to make these decisions.

But the Government is trying to censor the opposing viewpoint so far that they will take away your children for disagreeing with your point of view.

But that’s not the only part of science that has been greatly affected by censorship recently.

The other one is the COVID19 vaccine.

As soon as the vaccine came out, if you so much as asked questions about its safety, you were labeled as an “anti-vax conspiracy theorist”.

But being a social outcast would be the least of your concerns if you rejected a jab you could lose your job, or the ability to travel.

So, do you get it? Censorship isn’t just removing information. It’s setting up systems to punish people who speak out.

But what if you have a lot of money, and a lot of power? Are you safe?

Well…

Part 2: No One is Safe from an Out-of-Control Government…

No one is safe from censorship. It isn’t de-platforming that people are worried about. It’s about losing their money, their jobs, their kids, and even the threat of being jailed.

You might think that is an exaggeration, but I will show you examples of all of this…

How speaking out can lose you all of your money –

In 2022, Cross-Border truckers in Canada formed a Freedom Trucker Convoy with the goal of lifting vaccine mandates. They peacefully protested by forming convoys, while some formed grid-lock blockades.

Because of this, The Canadian government froze the bank accounts and suspended the vehicle insurance of the truckers.

Up to 206 bank accounts linked to the convoy organizers together worth $7.8 million dollars were frozen. Even their GoFundMe fundraiser was removed from the platform.

This is really scary to see. None of these truckers got sent to court to hear fair trial, instead they had their bank accounts and PERSONAL assets illegally stolen/seized.

This might sound scary, but it get’s a LOT worse than you think.

The Government is trying to fully digitize the currency in what’s called the Central Bank Digital Currency. With this in place all of your assets can be instantly seized by the government.

And there would be nothing that you can do to prevent it.

How speaking out can lose you your job –

In December of 2021, Joe Rogan released an episode with Dr. Robert Malone, who discussed research on the COVID19 vaccines, and expressed his concerns about taking the vaccine.

This caused many listeners, doctors, and artists to fight for Joe Rogan to be de-platformed.

Luckily, Spotify did not remove Joe Rogan.

But that wasn’t the case for Vivian Geraghty, an Ohio teacher who was fired when she refused to use the pronouns of two students due to her religious beliefs.

The truth is, losing your job of livelihood is the most likely consequence of speaking out against censorship. Usually you will be labeled as “hateful/transphobic” or some sort of term that instantly shuts you down.

The goal is to stop the conversation before it ever happens.

How speaking out can lose you your kids –

In 2019, there was a court case in Canada where a child decided to identify as a different gender. Their mother agreed and their father disagreed.

Here’s a quote from the National Post article:

“The judge went on to make the following declarations: that A.B. be referred to as male and identified by his chosen name in all legal proceedings, that he be allowed to change his legal name without the need for consent from his parents, that he is “exclusively entitled” to consent to medical treatment for his dysphoria, and that any attempt to persuade A.B. to abandon treatment or references to A.B. as a girl or using female pronouns “shall be considered to be family violence” under the Family Law Act.”

I think that excerpt speaks for itself. The Government should not be making these decisions for your child. And children are too young to make these decisions.

How speaking out can send you to jail –

Pastor Billy Te Kahika of New Zealand actively spoke out against COVID19 and was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment for organizing a protest on the first day of New Zealand’s national Delta variant lockdown.

Something similar also happened to Pastor Artur Pawloski for holding a Saturday church service “with no regard for mask mandates or physical distancing”.

So, now that you understand the different forms that censorship is taking, and see real world examples, you might be wondering “What can I do to stop this?”

Well…

Part 3: How Can You Fight Censorship?

I know, it sounds scary. No one wants to lose their money, job, go to jail, or even worse lose their kids.

But the truth is… now is the only time we have. Freedom of speech is being threatened, but it isn’t gone. Now is the time that we have to defend it, while we still can.

Think about the example I gave earlier about Joe Rogan. MANY people signed petitions trying to get him kicked off of the platform, but it didn’t work.

And sure, you can argue the only reason they kept him was because he has a huge audience, but that’s a great reason!

It shows that supporting voices you trust actually makes a difference.

The key is being strong enough to not self-censor. Because once that happens, you are surrendering all of your power to the government.

So, stay strong, and follow voices you trust. Have uncomfortable conversations with your friends, and don’t be afraid to be bullied into a label.

Because truth is the only thing that matters, and censorship is the enemy of truth.
